Riding Golden Gate Park to Hawk Hill
Ride from Golden Gate Park to Hawk Hill in Everycol’s San Francisco & Marin region. The route begins at the Conservatory of Flowers, crosses the Presidio and Golden Gate Bridge, then climbs Conzelman Road to Hawk Hill.
This is a complete approach from the city, rather than just the final climb in the Marin Headlands. The bridge crossing and Presidio roads are included in both the distance and the elevation profile. The ride ends at Hawk Hill instead of looping back to Golden Gate Park.
Golden Gate Park and the Presidio
From the Conservatory of Flowers, the itinerary heads toward Arguello Boulevard and enters the Presidio. It passes Inspiration Point and Washington Boulevard before reaching Lincoln Boulevard and the bridge plaza. This sequence connects the park start to the crossing into Marin.
Over the bridge to Conzelman Road
After crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, the route reaches the northern side and turns toward Conzelman Road. The final climb leads to Hawk Hill. Read the full elevation profile to distinguish those closing slopes from the smaller changes in height on the approach through San Francisco.
