  • Haleakalā: Cycle to the Sun

    The longest paved climb on Earth, as the Cycle to the Sun race rides it: from the sea at Pāʻia up Baldwin Avenue through Makawao, by Olinda and Hanamu Roads to the Haleakalā Highway, then the switchbacks of Crater Road through the national park to the summit at 3,055 m.

  • Haleakalā from Kahului

    From the airport junction up the Haleakala Highway through the pineapple fields to Pukalani, past Kula Lodge and up Crater Road’s 31 switchbacks to the summit.

  • Crater Road from Kula

    From Kula up Kekaulike Avenue to the foot of Crater Road, then 33 km of switchbacks through the eucalyptus, the ranch land and the cloud layer to the cinder summit.
